This is a random rant.
Why, oh why do people feel the need to indoctrinate children? Let them make their own decisions in regards to religion. If my child says, “I want to go to Temple.” I will let them try it out. If they want to go to Mass, I’ll let them try it out. Try out Wicca, Buddhism, go Baptist, whatever. I don’t really care, I will love them no matter what their religious convictions end up being. Please, Nickelodeon, will you stop with the political banter? I really don’t know how I felt about my (then) 7 and 8 year old niece and nephew talk about who they would vote for. Seriously? Can’t they have a childhood. The worst is they each wanted to vote for the other candidate based on the propaganda their teachers handed out. McCain and Obama coloring sheets. Wow. How much fun! Teach them to love their country but, keep your agenda OUT of their impressionable, young minds! Teach them to read above their level and help improve their comprehension so they don’t rely on what the news says and can research the truth for themselves.
